This single biggest mistake many people make when starting a online business is they'll create a product... Once you have the idea keyword list. Calculate the R/S ratio for your each of your selected keyword's one by one (where R=Result ; S=Search)

Get "S" from keyword suggestion tools as mentioned above.
Get "R" from Google search engine: Type in allintitle:your-keyword-word-here

For example:

A keyword "organic gardening" was searched 17,246 times last month, and google resulted were 140000 website advertising this keyword on their title. Now, let's divide the 2 numbers 140000/17246=8.12

Our R/S ratio for this keyword is 8.12. Typically the lower the number is, the more profitable the keyword will be for you, should you decide to create a website based on the keyword.

What you need to do is go through each of the keywords in your selected list and come up with R/S ratios for all of them. then, pick the keyword that have a low R/S ratio and yet have quite a few searches the previous months.

We need to know what are the high paying keywords from Advertiser before building a websites content for that keywords.

1) You can use Traffic estimator from your Free Google account to look for high paying keyword as well. If you do not have the account yet, Get the data from SEO Book - http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/ (Daily Search Volume.

Way to emphasize important content of you page with section targeting

Google AdSense ads are automatically targeted to the content of your webpage, but sometimes you may want to emphasize or downplay certain sections of your page -- for example, you may want to emphasize the first paragraph of your article or ignore your menu bar. With section targeting, you can help Google determine what parts of your content are important so that your site can show more relavent targeted ads.

To implement section targeting, you'll need to add a set of special HTML comment tags to your code. These tags will mark the beginning and end of whichever section(s) you'd like to emphasize or de-emphasize for ad targeting.

Do a search for Adsense secrets and you will be bombarded by a myriad of ads by telling you that they, and they alone have all the answers to making lots of money with Adsense. And I say bully to all of them. I repeat: nobody has all the answers and there are no "Adsense secrets" per se!

The only thing you need to find out all there is to know about Adsense is a search engine and a bit of common sense. There are literally hundreds of forums where you can pick up all the information you need, as well as hundreds of articles that have been written on the subject of Adsense.

All the answers are out there for you to find it you will put in a little bit of work. If you buy any of the ebooks available out there, you might find one little nugget of information that you may not have seen anywhere else, but I promise you: everything is out here on the Internet - all you have to do is search for it. What I can tell you from my own experience is this:

4. A search box on every page gives you another chance for earning Adsense income.
5. Your link at the top of the ad should be blue like a normal link, the ad should be black, and the url should also be black so that it blends in with the ad copy. That makes the link stand out and gives you a better chance of someone clicking on it.

To increase your site traffic, which obviously will increase your Adsense income, the best way to get traffic is to have fresh content at your site. Another way would be to publish articles by other authors that are relevant to your site content. You can find free articles all over the web by once again doing a search for e.g. "free site content".

Do this on a regular basis and watch your traffic increase on a steady basis. You also now know all the Adsense secrets you will ever need to optimize your Adsense ads so there is no need dig out your wallet for "secrets".

BUT, just to be safe, before you submit your site for approval - try to get your site some traffic.

a) Get content from article directories like www.goarticles.com - just put those articles in your site, getting 15-20 is easy.

1. Acquire a domain name to match your "niche"

2. Create something simple to get the ball rolling so you can get out of Google's "sandbox" relatively quickly- you can add content as you like, but you must get your player on the field if you are going to play.

3. Make your Home Page the focal point of your site. Forums and gimmicks can be added later. You need a presense at this point, not the coolest new flash game to offer nobody.
Speaking of Flash...leave the exciting entry pages for amateurs...you are about to become a professional.
We don't play in that arena, do we?
No...we don't.
Not now, not ever.

4. Look at the top of the search engines when typing in your preferred keywords.
Look at the websites objectively, act as if you are there for the info it provides and decide if your desires were satisfied by visiting them.
What would you do differently, if you didn't see what you were looking for?
TAKE NOTES.
Apply the changes to YOUR new website, but do NOT copy the content directly from any other sites.
This is your first dance, don't subject yourself to ridicule or worse right out of the gate.

5. Get a Site Counter.
There are many free ones out there.
Pick one, anything will do as you can change it later.
You'll begin to see where your visitors are coming from and use the information for tweaking.

Affiliate programs were once a great source of online revenue, a savvy webmaster with an eye for marketing could easily parley a site into a money making machine with a little luck and effort. However, the evolution and growth of the Internet has hampered the growth of fortune making affiliate programs. Constant search engine algorithm changes, along with the search engine's clear distaste for sites participating in affiliate programs; have made it a little more difficult to earn a healthy affiliate revenue. An influx in the use of software programs that terminate cookie tracking and privacy programs that prevent webmasters from tracking referrers, have also hindered the affiliate sales channel. While it is still possible to make money through affiliate marketing, other alternatives ought to be considered.

A Healthy Alternative or Supplement
Google's Adsense program allows approved websites to dynamically serve Google's pay-per-click Adword results. This has become a popular alternative and an effective revenue sharing program for webmasters. Google's spider parses the adserving website and serves ads that relate to the website's content. While the Google's Adsense program still has some issues, they are making efforts to improve it.

Don?t expect to earn a fortune. Google is a bit cagey about its ad rates, but you typically earn a few cents per click. Advertisements for casino or other gambling sites could make you up to a dollar or more for each click though.

On the downside, the very nature of Google Adsense means that users navigate away from your site, which may not be in your best interests.

You have an online business or maybe just a resource website. Earning money online isn?t the easiest thing to do for most people, but running a website is often one of the better ways to market your business.

No matter how good your products are, however, not everyone will buy from you. That?s where AdSense comes in.

AdSense is a service from Google that places ads on your website for you, then pays you by the click on the ad. These ads are targeted and based on the content of each page they are place on. You can decide for yourself how they will appear, including color scheme and 10 layout options. Most AdSense ads are text, but Google has recently started offering the ability to show image ads through AdSense as well.

The first benefit of this is the convenience to you as a webmaster. You don?t have to search for ads for your website, Google takes care of that for you.

The next benefit is the ease of earning money. Now, you are not allowed to discuss your earnings with anyone, so I will not disclose anything resembling numbers here, but just consider that you will be paid per click. You always want to be careful to stick with the rules you agreed to so that you do not lose your business.

AdSense is quite simply ideal for pretty much any resource website. It is one of the easiest ways to add advertising with minimal effort. If you are trying your hand at affiliate programs this is a great supplement. You can block links to the companies you are promoting, but it is harder to block other affiliates who link their ads to their own website. Blocking too many websites can impact your earnings as well.
